The 2^nd International Congress of Veterinary Nursing shall take place between 14 and 16 October 2011, in Viana do Castelo, in the Auditorium Prof. Abilio Lima de Carvalho of the Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo.

Option of the Organizing Committee was to make the 2^nd Congress to a specific thematic "Physiotherapy in small animals". Being a booming area, physiotherapy techniques applied to health can be an interesting area of expertise for the graduates in Veterinary Nursing.

This way, through the call for a wide range of prestigious national and international experts, the Organizing Committee wanted to make the different sessions on a showcase of the best backs in this area, covering everything from general concepts to more advanced techniques used in rehabilitation and/or prevention of diseases that lead to difficulties in moving or in accompanying animals in postoperative fracture.

Try to create a forum for discussion and learning that can be beneficial for students and graduates in Veterinary Nursing, allowing the exchange of experiences and dissemination of the course and profession, through participation and cooperation of Agricultural Colleges, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Elvas and Viseu and AEVP (Portuguese Association of Veterinary Nurses).
